We have never been in Venice at a time to coincide with the Carnival. Much copied by other cities and countries, the Venetian Carnival surely is the biggest and the best. Amazing costumes and all set against the fantastically beautiful stage set of Venice......perfect!
Hi, Massimo: the masks are beautiful and elegant. In German Carnival they are often much cruder and ridiculing, (the only way in former times to disobey authorities).

Pd. Maximo en España hay gran afición a la vespa desde siempre, nosotros siempre hemos tenido. Ahora mucha gente joven, está volviemdo a comprar vespas. Se hacen concentraciones en por toda España. sí te animas un día nos gustará contar con tu compañía ;))
That's just what I was thinking...along with adding Venice (again, this would be the third visit) to my next trip!!! But I usually don't travel during February and March - so this could cause a problem!
